The goal is an assistant that quietly handles long, multi-step tasks and pings you when there’s something to see. Google is also building these helpers into Search itself, so it can keep an eye on topics like news, prices, or finance and surface updates at the right moment.

This is the most meaningful change to everyday tech in a while. Done well, agentic AI could save real time on the boring stuff — research, comparisons, bookings, follow-ups.
